Deseret News 10K.  43:49, 7:03 average pace.  14/78 in M50-54 and 347/2343 total field. 277/1110 overall gender.  Slowest mile in 7:38.  Fastest mile in 6:31.  Felt pretty good about the race.  Goal was low 43's or under 7:00 pace.  Wasn't quite there, but was through 5 miles.  Could only hold a 7:38 on the final mile, so I definitely didn't leave anything out there.  Amy did very well, as did Kurt.  Anxious to see final results and how everyone else did.

Good job! I must have been right by you at the finish. FRBers should have arm bands or something...

From artichoke on Sat, Jul 24, 2010 at 12:34:59 from 97.126.176.6

Way to go!! Yeah, we should all get some arm bands or something. Of course, I guess you could purchase the singlets that were available at one time. Keep up the great work!

NICE RACE!!! All anyone can do is leave it all out there, you have to be happy with that! Nice race indeed.

Thanks, Kelli. Nice long run yourself, especially with the PF issue. I've been there a few times, so I know what you're going through. I think this Fall sometime you and Scott should run up Butterfield Canyon from Herriman and my training partner and I will run up Middle Canyon from Tooele and we can meet at the summit of the Oquirrhs to take in the view.

There you go, sounds like a plan!!!! I have never made it all the way up yet, only about 3/4ths.

The PF is getting better, so all is well!

Yes, Way to go! Had I stumbled you would have run right over me! Can't believe we were that close. I can't believe how many FRBs there were on the course. Well D-News is over for this year, now all we have to do is pick it up a notch and run a 40 next year!!!!Again, congrats on a fine D-News 10K...

Great job Choke! Way to give it your all!

Excellent race!!!! I think that last mile is always so stinkin' tricky. I think I have run this race 4 times (not this year) and was only able to hit that last mile the way I wanted to once.

You did amazing!

A huge congrats! :)

Thanks. Your Midnight Moonlight Marathon sounded like a blast! That's keeping things fun. Way to go!

Nice job. I came in right around the same time (43:37). I like the arm band idea. Catch you at the next one.
