Married for 40 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 8 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 35 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2017.

10 mile tempo run tonight at 7:30 p.m.  Smelter Road hills, solo.  Chi running in places.  Able to hold form longer.  45:45 at 5 going up, 9:09 pace.  Overall time, 1:27:19.  About 8:45 pace overall.  Felt strong in places.  Nice evening, nice temperatures.  Beautiful sunset to the west over the lake and the Stansbury Mountains.

I bet it was a nice sunset and I am so glad you are out enjoying the running and the weather.

When is your next race?

Top of Utah 1/2. I'll be running with a friend to get her through her very first 1/2 marathon. Then St. George in October and Snow Canyon 1/2 in November. You?

Hobblecreek was supposed to be the next, but I have been benched off and on since the end of June and am currently under strict orders to NOT run. I may run the 1/2 in Spanish Fork in two weeks, still hoping to run the Payson 10k, then St George. It will be a lousy marathon with my training being so rudely interrupted, but oh well!

Good luck to you two in Logan. I will anxiously await the results next weekend. I hope she does well.

I can relate. St. George will be slower for me than the last 4 years. I'm coming off a sacral stress fracture in April and it's tough to get back to where I was. Good luck to you and hope you have a speedy recovery.
