Personal:

Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

9:00a.m. 5 mile trail run with Pickles up to and along the Toe Trail over to the Tuacahn Road then down thru Padre Estates and the dirt paths east of us near the lava flow.

11:00 a.m. Hiking with Sharon and Pickles up to the petroglyphs and the Santa Clara River rim and back. Trail pretty busy today for a weekday.

1:54:38. A beautiful day with gorgeous views in the canyon. Saw 3 guys being videoed running in dark suites, looking like missionaries. Weird! Heading back to Tooele tomorrow afternoon.

9:00 a.m. 13 mile tempo run with Tina across town in Tooele then down through Erda and through Stansbury Park via the high school and back over to Benson Mill. 1:43:30 for 13.1 miles, 7:54 AP. 1:17:45 at 10 miles, 1:35:00 at 12 miles, 1:42:39 at 13. Cloudy day, slight tail wind.

6:15 p.m. 5 mile recovery run with Pickles on the West side route. Two dog attacks tonight, but Pickles held his own. I don't understand why more dog owner's on the west side think they can let their dogs run loose. I seldom have this problem on the east side.

A co-worker's wife ran the Boston marathon yesterday and finished just a few minutes ahead of the blasts. A very sad day at this great marathon and great city.
